Our Sustainability Pledge

When we are planning each event, we are also planning for a rosy future for generations to come.

Care about the environment? 

We see a lot of waste in the events industry. Our commitment is long term, and under constant review. We aim to bring sustainable practices to client events as we do insde our business.

Our 8 Rs of sustainability:

• reuse - 
• chicken feeding program that removes thousands of kg of food from ever reaching the bin, especially with luxe grazing stations that can be wasteful.
• several years ago, we made the commitment to offer clients a wide selection of quality products on a rental basis for their events. Now clients can rent not purchase lesser quality products that end up in the bin. We have invested significantly in our rental division, and draw on a strong network of like-minded local vendors who offer complimentary rentals and have a commitment to sustainable rentals for an effortless, single point of contact, client experience.
  
• reuse of inbound materials, eg, packing boxes received from inbound deliveries. It is not as pretty, but the environment trumps aesthetics. 
• we work with clients to reuse their products and accessories.
• recycle - soft plastics, hard plastics, paper, metals, food & kitchen papers
• refuse - 
• we choose green energy, seasonal foods & flora, LED lighting, reusable or compostible materials, eco-grown, in both our own business and provide client options, eg, durable servingware
• we choose locally made where possible. We minimise transportation to get fresh items to us and to you. The vast majority of our food and flora comes from Australian (and Victorian) farms and prepared under Australian quality guidelines.
• rot - includes biodegradable servingware, green waste capture, our own composting system
• replace - (substitutions) - we are constantly reviewing our supplier and product choices for best outcomes. Substitutions are an ongoing process.
• range - 
• event success means a range of choices. If you want a black and gold event, only offering only white does not cut it. We endeavour to provide or source locally a wide range of choices in products, colours, styles.
• supporting events in the great outdoors - If you are organising an event outdoors or in the park, we offer fresh food platters, grazers and pre-packed lunch or snack boxes. Our high quality polycarbonate glassware range is ideal for garden parties, beach weddings, pool parties and wherever OHS, quality and minimising waste is important.
• repurpose - our dried and faux florals are repurposed for future event creations. Clean polystyrene is a by-product from packaging and is repurposed for use in some floral designs. reducing our waste and the need for additional materials.
• review - 
• supplier and product selection and regular reviews ensures that we source local fresh (food & flora) and products from sustainable and fair-trade suppliers and can adopt new, leading edge products as they come to market. 
• careful selection of quality products and suppliers
•  purchases including event rentals for our client use, and our own products for internal use. on offering regular catering equipment, furniture, marquees and bespoke rental items
• our own practices.
• we buy in bulk – less packaging & fuel

We are passionate about providing our customers with the eco-best choices when it comes to choosing supplies for your party, wedding or special event.

We are proud members of PEBA, although do not use balloons often in our current designs.
