Arch, Arbour, or Altar ... what is the difference?
You've got a vision for your special day, but the terms 'arch', 'arbour', and 'altar' have you feeling a little lost in the wedding wonderland? Fear not, dear event planner! Let's break down these beautiful structures and help you find the perfect fit for your celebration.
Finding Your Perfect Match
So, which one is right for you? Consider your event's style, venue, and personal preferences.
- Arch: If you're dreaming of a bold statement that can be customized to perfection.
- Arbour: If you're seeking a natural, romantic ambiance.
- Altar: If you desire a touch of sacredness or spirituality.
Remember, the most important thing is to choose a structure that resonates with your heart and complements your overall vision.

The Arch: A Versatile Visionary
The Arch: A Versatile Visionary
An arch is like the chameleon of wedding decor – it can adapt to any style. From minimalist modern to opulent romantic, arches can be adorned with anything your heart desires, from lush greenery to dazzling florals. Whether it's a standalone statement or a backdrop for your vows, an arch is a versatile choice that adds a touch of drama to your event.

Our Docklands arch is decorated with luxe lillies, roses and local native, wispy foliage accents. It is set with potted moss and white roses, and is a 4/5ths round arch. The Bolty Bridge is behind, with a stunning setting for this sunset pose by our gorgeous model. The setting was completed with aisle chair floral accents on alfesco chairs, white carpet and wispy foliage edging for the carpet.

The Arbour: Nature's Embrace
The Arbour: Nature's Embrace
Imagine saying "I do" under a canopy of greenery. That's the magic of an arbour.
An arbour is like an arch in 3d. It features an overhead canopy under which the couple and celebrant stand for the ceremony.
Perfect for outdoor ceremonies, this natural structure creates an intimate and romantic atmosphere. Adorned with climbing vines or delicate flowers, an arbour is a dream for nature-loving couples.

The Altar: Sacred and Sublime
The Altar: Sacred and Sublime
An altar is more than just a structure; it's a symbol of unity and devotion. Whether you're hosting a religious ceremony or simply want to create a focal point that exudes sacredness, an altar can elevate your event to new heights. From simple and understated to elaborate and adorned, an altar is a canvas for your spiritual expression.
